VITO measures air quality, exposure and odour in various environments: indoor air quality in buildings and homes, ambient air, traffic hotspots, workplaces, diffuse and stack emissions.
The monitoring technology consists both on reference instruments, olfactometry, e-noses as on innovative sensor networks, in stationary and mobile applications.
The state of art lab infrastructure enables e.g. efficiency tests of purifying technologies, sensor validation, gas and particle speciation and product emission tests, under accreditation certification.
